Ms. 1946, our air conditioner, has cooled the Fox and its patrons since 1946.  She along with her partners, “Misty” the airwash, Big Red and Bertha, have worked very hard for 64 years and on Monday they will be turned off and retired.

Ms. 1946 will remain as a back up unit to assist the new unit during times of extreme temperatures.  Her yet-to-be-named new roommate will be installed next week.

Misty is being repurposed to hold the new AC coils.  But Big Red and Bertha will be totally removed from the building to make room for the new motor and fan.  Our hope is to find them a good home in another historic theatre.
